Printer motor operation is controlled by firmware, providing power to the motor via a driver circuit. Paper jams induce excessive motor load. Baud rate issues rarely cause mechanical failures such as jams or motor noises directly, but incorrect baud rates can cause corrupted print jobs that indirectly cause jams.
