502 errors indicate a problem with the server's ability to fulfil a request. On a payment terminal, this can stem from network timeouts, incorrect IP routing, or issues with the payment gateway itself. Signal attenuation due to cable damage, or electromagnetic interference (EMI), can also contribute to intermittent network connectivity problems.
Safe Handling: Ensure the terminal is unplugged from the power source before inspecting or cleaning any cables or connectors. Do not use excessive force when plugging or unplugging cables.
