The V200t keypad relies on a matrix of conductive pathways. Syrup residue can create insulating layers or short circuits between these pathways, disrupting signal transmission. Signal integrity is further compromised by potential corrosion from the sugar content. The V200t's firmware relies on polling the keypad matrix at a specific baud rate. Interference disrupts this process. Environmental factors like humidity can exacerbate these issues.
