Bill validators often operate on 24V DC logic. The G-13 likely communicates via a serial interface (RS-232 or similar) using a defined baud rate. A sudden power surge or interruption during the fibre system could have damaged the validator's power supply or communication interface. ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) during system is also a potential factor. Signal attenuation due to cable damage or loose connections can prevent proper communication with the host system.
