Wipe down the external surfaces with a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use solvents or liquids.
Condensation within electronic devices reduces insulation resistance between conductors. Water's conductivity allows current leakage, triggering short circuits. EMV/NFC circuits are susceptible to minor voltage fluctuations. Corrosion due to prolonged moisture exposure degrades contact surfaces, increasing resistance and generating heat, accelerating failure.

Electrical shock hazard exists. Ensure the device is disconnected from the power source before any inspection or cleaning. Do NOT operate the device if there are signs of water damage or exposed wiring. Internal components are sensitive to ESD. Avoid touching internal components. No internal modifications are permitted. Tampering may trigger anti-tamper mechanisms rendering the device unusable.

External diagnostic tools may include thermal cameras and calibrated multimeters.
