CAT5e or CAT6 Ethernet cable is recommended.
Network adapters rely on TCP/IP protocol stacks and physical layer connectivity (Ethernet). Failure points include: 1) corrupted firmware preventing driver initialization; 2) physical damage to the RJ45 port or internal PHY; 3) incorrect IP configuration; 4) DHCP server unavailability; 5) Excessive Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) damage to the network IC; 6) cable signal attenuation exceeding specifications.
Regularly inspect Ethernet cables for damage and replace as needed.,Ensure Ethernet cables are properly secured and routed to prevent strain on the connectors.,Maintain a clean environment around the KDS unit to minimize dust accumulation.,Implement surge protection to protect against electrical surges that can damage network adapters.,Avoid exposing the KDS unit to excessive static electricity, especially during dry, cold weather (high ESD risk).
