EMV/NFC systems are susceptible to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electrostatic discharge (ESD). Coin handling near the terminal could introduce transient voltage spikes or signal attenuation affecting card read reliability. Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) can also cause communication errors between the terminal and the payment network. Internal components such as the NFC antenna and EMV chip reader rely on stable voltage and signal integrity for accurate data transfer. Damaged or loose cable connectors can introduce signal degradation.
