The voltage tolerance is +/- 10% (21.6V DC to 26.4V DC).
The mechanism can be calibrated to reject bent coins, foreign coins, or slugs.
Only use dry PTFE lubricant sparingly. Avoid oil-based lubricants, which can attract dust and cause more jams.
The change dispenser uses a 24V DC motor controlled by a logic board. Optical sensors detect coin presence and count. A solenoid-actuated gate releases the coins. Mechanical jams can occur due to foreign objects or coin deformities. The system relies on accurate calibration for coin diameter and thickness to prevent mis-sorting.
Regularly clean the coin input and output areas. Use certified coins and implement a coin acceptance policy to reject bent or damaged currency. Schedule preventative maintenance every 6 months including sensor calibration and motor inspection.
A common cause of intermittent jams is coin dust accumulation on the optical sensors. Use a dry cotton swab to gently clean the sensor lenses. Check the tension spring on the coin release solenoid; if it is weak, the gate may not fully open or close.
