The Hantle 1700W utilizes optical sensors and inductive sensors to validate bills. The optical sensors detect the bill's pattern, while the inductive sensors verify the metallic thread. Incorrect voltage (24V DC +/- 10%) to the validator can cause sensor malfunction. Signal attenuation due to cable degradation may also contribute. ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) events can corrupt the firmware controlling sensor calibration.
High voltage (120/240V AC) is present within the kiosk enclosure. Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures must be followed before performing any maintenance or troubleshooting. Disconnect power at the main breaker and verify zero voltage before proceeding. Ensure proper grounding of the kiosk to prevent electrical hazards.
