The Fujitsu F53 bill present motor operates on 24V DC. Motor control signals are transmitted via the main control board. The motor's operational current is typically 0.5A to 1.2A under load. Optocouplers on the main PCB isolate the logic control from the motor's power circuit. Signal attenuation due to cable degradation or corrosion can disrupt motor operation. ESD events can damage the motor driver IC on the main board. Cold temperatures (-40C) increase the viscosity of lubrication within the motor gearbox, increasing load and potentially causing stalling.
Bill dispensing failures are observed. The bill present motor either fails to activate, activates intermittently, or produces a grinding noise upon activation. Bills may become jammed or only partially ejected.
The Fujitsu F53 operates on 24V DC. Before performing any maintenance, ensure the power is disconnected. Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to prevent accidental energization. Be aware of pinch points in the bill transport mechanism. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves and eye protection.

A temporary fix for a sticking motor in cold environments involves applying gentle heat to the motor housing using a hairdryer (low setting, indirect heat). This can temporarily reduce lubricant viscosity and allow the motor to function. However, this is not a permanent solution and motor replacement is recommended. Check for Firmware updates on the Main PCB; Dispensing logic may have improvements.
