The VKP80II relies on a series of rollers and sensors to advance and cut ticket stock. Paper jams can occur due to misalignment, static buildup (ESD), or obstructions affecting roller traction. Sensor malfunction, often due to dust or debris, can also trigger a false jam state. Voltage fluctuations can also cause sensor errors.
Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) can damage the printer's sensitive electronic components. Always ground yourself before touching any part of the printer, especially in dry environments. Ensure the printer is unplugged before attempting any maintenance. Do NOT attempt to open the printer casing or remove any internal components. This device is PCI-PTS compliant and opening it will trigger anti-tamper mechanisms, rendering it unusable.
