Error 51 typically relates to the cutter motor circuit. This can involve the motor itself, the motor driver IC on the mainboard, or feedback sensors. The motor driver receives commands from the main CPU via serial communication (TTL or RS-232) and provides PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) to control the motor's speed and torque. Insufficient voltage or a damaged PWM signal can halt the motor and trigger the error. Static discharge (ESD) can damage the low-voltage logic components. Cable strain can affect serial communication lines.
Disconnect power before any inspection. Do NOT attempt to open the printer casing or access internal components.
