Safe Handling: Do NOT attempt to open the Clover device. It contains tamper-evident mechanisms that will permanently disable the device if breached. Unplug the device from the power source before performing any external cleaning or cable maintenance. Avoid using excessive force when connecting or disconnecting cables. Ensure the device is placed on a stable, dry surface to prevent accidental falls or liquid spills. Static discharge can damage the device; ground yourself before touching any connectors.
Regularly update the payment application and operating system to the latest versions. Monitor the device's performance and memory usage. Ensure a stable and reliable network connection. Periodically clear the application cache and data. Relieve cable strain on the power cord and network cables. Implement ESD prevention measures, especially during dry winter months, such as using anti-static mats and grounding straps when handling the device.
Try processing a small 'test' refund transaction (e.g., $0.01) to see if the crash occurs.
