The Clover Mini's security system monitors various parameters, including voltage, data integrity, and physical tampering. A 'Security Alert' can be triggered by unexpected voltage fluctuations, corrupted firmware, failed cryptographic checks, or activation of tamper-evident features. The device's embedded secure element (eSE) may also initiate this alert. Communication errors with the processing host can mimic security issues.
Do not attempt to open the Clover Mini's casing or tamper with any internal components. This device is equipped with PCI-PTS anti-tamper mechanisms, and any attempt to open or modify it will permanently disable the device. Avoid using the device in excessively humid or dusty environments. Be mindful of ESD, especially during dry winter months. Always unplug the device before cleaning.
